In this round table discussion, Raymond Diamond will foster conversation on the subject of training in circus as a professional artist and athlete with a disability. Disabilities come in all forms and manifestations, and whatever an artist may live with and deal with, it affects them uniquely. Based on his experience as a circus professional working as a performer and as an instructor with Maine Youth Circus with a seizure disability, Raymond will engage attendees and share tools and aids that he has found game-changing in his practices and beyond, while fostering conversation and encouraging questions.

Raymond Diamond is a youth circus educator and performer based out of Portland, Maine. As someone with the life mantra of 'progress, not perfection,' Raymond believes that strength, dexterity, and mindfulness provide the best results and learning environment for those beginning their circus journey and those who are well into their already burgeoned career.
